09.00: Leaving Cagliari you will cross the flat countryside, bordered on the left by the massif of the Monte Linas, to the lush and green rolling hills of the Marmilla in one of which raise the ruins of the Castle of La Plassas. After one hour drive we reach Barumini for the visit of the Su Nuraxi, the well preserved Nuraghe dating back to 17th century BC and Unesco Heritage. Our trip goes on to the Giara of Siddi, a basalt plateau covered with Mediterranean scrub, oak forest and over hundred different trees species and home to important archaeological heritage that encompasses the Middle Neolithic period, the Nuragic age (1500-1300 bc), the Punic passage, the Roman and the Byzantine age. After an outdoor picnic, we will hike through this wild Nature and visit the Tomb of Giants ‘’ Sa Domu e S’Orku’’ a well preserved and extraordinary example of funerary architecture.
In the late afternoon return to Cagliari or Hotel.
